This blog is entitled 'TacitKnowledge', recalling the work of the great scientist and philosopher Michael Polanyi. It is planned as a platform for much that we perceive but don't always share, fearing that our views are too vague to be of value. The Idea of Truth

Truth is no simple thing. Men have staked their life for truth, and many will doubtless do so again and again in the future, but still there is no general agreement among thinkers on what truth really is. Is truth absolute or is it relative? Do we discover it in a mind-independent reality, or do we construct it in our mind?
